“Point Zero” Undergoes Psychoanalysis

The first feeling I had -what if we were born before man… "Point Zero" can be considered a cultural influence of Christianity.

Where no one had a greater opportunity to excel in worldly life...one had to strive to become God's favourite. In the Middle Ages, self-suffocation was very common, especially among philosophers: people tortured themselves, even held their breath, until the death.

In Narek Malian's novel "Point Zero" this graceful and convenient way of committing suicide has completely disappeared; there is no hope that one day it will be possible to restore it, because it is based on love for God, most importantly the message- the idea of a man’s love for a man and being guided by conscience. Silence brings man closer to God and makes him look like an angel on earth.

Also the good God has killed the tragedy. It's so important to be needed. The book unites around this idea the Pope of Rome, who has a powerful mission, characters who have one goal: to bring man closer to God, to beautify man's inner world… soul, to enfold him with light, with eternal light…

In the history of newly independent Armenia, this is a new concept with a perception of high artistry and modernity. The constructive thinking of Narek Malian's novel "Point Zero" and his endless love for writing and speaking, where there is no redundancy, it is not the gap of aesthetics that will be used to fill in the content of the message through a play on words.

This is rather a research than a work of art or a tale, which is certainly full of high art, giving the word breath - breathing… The book does not impose its messages, but tries to convert a man who is sometimes blinded, sometimes away from love, that is, from God through the communication with God, with the only true faith. Love is the only idea of God and conscience of love. The actions take place from 1095 to the present day, with interesting arguments it brings us closer to those renewed worlds, sometimes opposing, sometimes contradictory, but still finds bright ways in times of peace and war.

There are three different stories in the book, but they are directly related to one another, and the other most important precondition in the course of different years of religious terrorism leads to a critical point, which from the zero point is established as a provenance in confrontation with human history, first by giving autonomy to a man. "A Christian cannot receive the blessing of murder in church… - Can you explain how non-believers differ from animals?"

What is the meaning of a non-believer’s life? How does a non-believer differ from the fish in the sea, which were hunted and killed by St. Peter? Let me answer. With nothing! Urban was listening in confusion. He considered Odo a worldly person who was far from theology, however he considers his worldly counselor’s spiritual analyses.

Being a worldly person, Odo is at the same time close to the spiritual that you can see in any person. Which makes a person open the layers of his inner world, open up and admit that he can think, then start from a blank page, leaving utopias and constantly formulating his desires and horrors. The character of Urban II, although considered as the word and wrath of the faithful people and the leader, is still presented in the book as an instructive mysterious image that the people believe in and are ready to listen to the word of the leader for their purposes.

However, people do not obey what the leader says, they first make it alive with the spirit of psychoanalysis and the spirit of desire, pass it through them, then give new flesh and blood. There is no pathos in the book. The author, even referring to modern and medieval life, gives an opportunity to keep a human in the middle of these two worlds, who has the chance to be the first in reaching the topic set before him or approaching the topic of overcoming wars in other ways, which has the means to change things that disturb the world and a human.

The book is the result of a huge amount of work, which will interest the reader, so that they first will dig into the relevant literature, then understand the essence of the novel "Point Zero".
