ALL YOU NEED IS PR: Students Speak about Master’s Program

Today, on May 31, first-year students of the Master's program in Public Relations, YSU Faculty of Sociology, organized a meeting with lecturers and graduates to comprehensively present the importance of the profession, the content of the program and the success stories of the graduates.

Nvard Melkonyan presented the history of creating a master's program and improving it year by year, as well as the application procedures and the demand in the labor market. Most of the lecturers are employers in the field," said Nvard Melkonyan.

She mentioned that students with different bachelor's degrees apply to this master's program: philologists, journalists, culturologists, sociologists, social workers, economists, etc. Referring to the teaching staff, she emphasized that the best specialists of other master's programs of the faculty also lecture within the framework of the course.

Narek Malian, speaking about the professional depth of the program, mentioned that he attaches great importance to the visits of students to state institutions and private companies, as it gives an opportunity to see PR in action.

"I do not agree with the saying that a clever person learns from the others’ mistakes. Everyone should make their own mistakes." We may say that life is a series of mistakes, and the lessons and experience learned from them are priceless," he interpreted.

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Sociology Anahit Sahakyan presented her course "Influence Technologies", which gives an opportunity to study the manipulative techniques of psychological influence.
