Pointless Swearing is Mostly the Position of Unsubstantiated People
Some observations by Narek Malyan, PR specialist, author of two books, counselor to the former Chief of Police of the RA
“Why was the Adekvad series born?”
“Adekvad was born as the textual method of exchanging information has lost its effectiveness today. The social network format is short posts, but you cannot convey the full depth and emotion of the content with them. Then there is a delicacy, text content on Facebook has lost its veracity index, as acute texts are mostly posted by fakes. Very few people have the courage to go live and say what they think. And the courage here is not so much about speaking live, but about the justification and invulnerability of what is being said. Pointless swearing is mostly the position of unsubstantiated people. In Adekvad, every word is always supported, with solid arguments.”
“Who is the audience?”
“As for the audience that likes us, it is very diverse. Young people of student age up to 60 and over. People longing for intellectual adequacy. Honestly, I would not expect responses of such quantity and content. It turned out, I was very skeptical. There are people who visit our pub "Vorj", in their words, "to make sure that we are in Armenia and are real." People write us a huge number of supporting letters. They learn to deal with their distressing problems with a smile. Nowadays, I consider this way of thinking, at least, a result… Even complete strangers, now ideological friends, have united around the idea of Adekvad. Part of our modest technical support is our ideological friends’ backing. One was annoyed by the sound quality of the videos and helped to improve the sound quality, the other was irritated by the lighting, thus he dealt with that and so on.
“What is the most viewed Adekvad about?”
“I do not know exactly what is the most viewed one. I would say that live videos are posted on several media, on our personal and official pages and on YouTube. Most of the views are from Facebook. However surprising it was, the videos where we are alone, the monologues as a genre, have the largest audience. We are not interested in counting the views, even if 10 people in this information "toilet" need fresh air of adequacy, we will go on.”
“How do you react to criticism towards Adekvad?”
“Unfortunately, so far there has been no criticism as such. I do not know how long the heroes of Adekvad will manage to pretend to be dead, but I hope the challenge will be taken on soon, and we will eventually see people who will object, or at least kill us…”
“Who would you like to see as a guest to Adekvad? It does not matter what field the invited guest belongs to.”
“Anyone can be our guest and express their opinion live, even if that opinion contradicts ours. People have a lot to say, we give an opportunity to publicize that accumulated message.”
“Is it possible for Adekvad to bring on some material for a new book?”
“I try to combine my literary activity with Adekvad, it feels like I handle it. The presentation of my new novel "Queen of Hearts" will take place in September. The Arabic translation phase of "Point Zero" is over. I will definitely write about the events of these days, but I do not know when I will start. There is a lot to say and record, but I do that through live broadcasts these days. I suppose this geopolitical blend will grow into a book one day.
